I made this video to share my issues with mental illness, bipolar disorder, and racing thoughts that can be overwhelming. Mental illness affects how you think and feel, and bipolar means mood swings between highs and lows.
Racing thoughts are when your mind won’t slow down. Brain health is how well your brain works, and amyloid clumps are protein buildups linked to brain problems. Neurology is the study of the brain and nervous system, and a neuropsychological exam tests how your brain is functioning. I took this exam to better understand my own brain. Talking about this stuff helps me—and maybe it can help you too.
I wanna keep it real about my mental health struggles. I’m dealing with mental illness, bipolar moods that go up and down, and racing thoughts that just won’t quit. Mental illness means your mind be acting all kinds of ways, and bipolar is those crazy mood swings. Racing thoughts?
That’s when your brain won’t stop running. Brain health is just how your brain’s doing overall. Amyloid clumps are like nasty protein buildup in your brain that can mess things up.
Neurology is the brain doctor stuff, and a neuropsych exam is a test that checks how your brain’s working. I took that test to get the real picture of what’s going on inside my head. Talking about this helps me stay sane—and maybe it can help you too, girl.
